Can you remember that time you needed to make an important phone call, or were on the verge of beating your high score, when all the sudden your screen goes black? You knew it was coming, because five minutes earlier you got the dreaded notice that your battery was on the verge of death. But you kept going because you thought you only needed one…more…minute! 

Well, I have good news for you. With the recent release of Android 5.0, you now have the ability to extend the battery of your device by up to 90 minutes. For those of you who had the honor of installing Android 5.0, we will show you how simple it is to enable this great feature. Follow the steps below and you will be extending your battery life in no time.

1. Select Settings on your device

2. Select Battery

 3. Select Battery Saver (displayed on the top right corner)

4. Choose your activation options (automatic or manual)

Note: Automatic setting- Automatically turns on battery saving mode when battery reaches a specific critical level. Manual- Keeps battery saver feature active at all times

You will notice that your notification panels (top and bottom of screen) are now orange. This lets you know that the battery saving mode is on.

This will be a great feature when you you need to squeeze those extra minutes out of your battery life. Like squeezing candy from a baby. Wait, that doesn’t make sense…
